Facial Skincare

Woman touching face.

Facial skin is much more sensitive than body skin. The skin is not only thinner, the pores are also finer. Less facial hair on the face also means that facial skin is more exposed to the environment. Another point to consider is that we cover our body with clothing so body skin is much more protected than facial skin.

All of these factors shows us how vulnerable your facial skin is to damage. Therefore, it is important that we take measures to care for our facial skin so we feel healthy, comfortable and confident. Less fortunate individuals with poor skin health may have unhealthy looking skin making them feel less confident, experience constant irritation and discomfort or in, worst case, pain.

To help you remember, a morning routine is :

  • cleanse –> apply serum –> apply moisturiser –> apply sunblock –> apply makeup

And an evening or night routine is :

  • remove makeup and sunblock –>cleanse –> deep facial wash –> tone –> using a facial mask –> apply serum –> apply moisturiser

We have summarised a set of generic skincare steps that can be a guide for you to follow and learn how to care for the skin on your face.
